Jeder Webophile kennt Google, kennt aber kaum die vielen such-feinheiten: Every webophile knows Google, but only few use the detail search facilities:

Warnung: Es macht wenig sinn, nur nach Klaus Daube auf dem web zu suchen (ohne weitere suchwörter). Google wird 14 000 resultate melden. Warning: Do not search for Klaus Daube on the web without further keywords – you will get about 14 000 results …

Vermeiden Sie unbrauchbare ergebnisse:
suchen Sie nicht nach einzelwörtern, die im layout vorkommen (url, created, updated, ...). Zusätzliche suchwörter verwenden: "created by" Avoid useless results:
do not search for single words appearing in the layout of the pages (url, created, updated, ...). Add a specific word: "created by"

AND verknüpfung der suchwörter geschieht automatisch (Google's standard methode):
göfis landkarte findet seiten, die beide wörter enthalten.

AND relation of the search words is achieved automatically (Google default action):
göfis landkarte finds only pages which contain both words.

Alternativen finden durch OR (oder):

`toolbars \| "tool bars"` `toolbars OR "tool bars"`	Findet seiten, welche die wörter toolbars oder tool bars enthalten
`göfis (landkarte OR map)`	findet seiten über göfis, die mindestens eines oder beiden wörter `landkarte` oder `map` enthalten.

Find alternatives with the OR function:

`toolbars \| "tool bars"` `toolbars OR "tool bars"`	Finds pages with the words toolbar or tool bar
`göfis (landkarte OR map)`	finds pages containing `göfis`, and at least one of the words `landkarte` or `map`.

Ausschliessen von suchwörtern mit vorangestelltem minus-zeichen:
göfis -map findet seiten, die das erste, aber nicht das zweite wort enthalten.

Exclude a search word with a preceeding minus sign:
göfis -map finds pages which contain the first, but not the second word.

Phrasen (wortfolgen) suchen durch einschliessen in apothrophen: "landkarte von göfis" Search for a phrase by enclosing the search string in aprostrophs: "landkarte von göfis"

Gewöhnliche wörter und einzelbuchstaben in die suche einbeziehen mit +: windows nt +4 Include common words or single characters in the search with the + sign: windows nt +4
